Group / Chama account

  1. This is an account for Chamas and Church groups.
  2. The account earns distributable surplus every financial year.
  3. Group account is eligible to borrow a loan.
  4. The account can guarantee individual members to borrow loans and vice versa.

Requirements:

  • A filled group registration form.
  • Minutes authorizing account opening at St. Paul’s self-help group.
  • The minutes should have the group’s letter head.
  • At least two signatories must sign for each transaction.
  • For church groups the priest will be a mandatory signatory plus two other signatories.
  • List of all group members
  • Copies of National IDs/Passport documents for all signatories.
  • Passportsize photographs of all signatories
  • Copies of KRA certificates for all signatories.
  • Copy of Registration Certificate where applicable.
  • Group By-laws/Constitution
  • Group must open a group email address.
